Fredrik has a long career in transport behind him, managing both technical and business development in both corporates and scale-up businesses. Fredrik recently led the Innovation Office at the truck and bus manufacturer Scania, where he was accountable for delivering the Scania Transport System Roadmap and the delivery of large-scale government-founded research and innovation projects in collaboration with public and private organisations, including government agencies, universities, research institutions, and start-ups, SME’s, and large corporates from the transport, mobility, and logistics industry.
Taking a system perspective and a partnership approach, the projects explored solutions in e-mobility, autonomous transport systems, and integrated intelligent transport systems.
Also at Scania, Fredrik headed User Research & Ergonomics Design throughout the development of the current Scania Next Gen truck and bus series launched in 2016. He also led research on solutions for semi-autonomous driving (Level 3) and work system analysis for the development of fully autonomous systems (Level 4+), as well as the design of user interfaces for electric trucks and buses, including electrical charging.
